Theodore's is a hidden gem in the outskirts of Erie. A picturesque drive along West Lake Road provides an enjoyable journey to this amazing little place. You'll be greeted warmly and seated quickly. The menu has a most cosmopolitan range of food not always seen in these parts. Homemade breads grace the table as soon as you are seated. Seafood ranges from perch, a local delicacy, to sea bass, salmon and sea scallops. Theodore's offers a delectable lobster sauce to coat its offerings in buttery glory. Steaks are always perfectly cooked. Salads are consistently fresh. Desserts are delightful. Service is always attentive and well-versed in all menu items. After your first visit, you are regarded as a friend. There is a limited but adequate wine list, with decent, moderately priced beverages. I have been coming here for about eight years in my visits to PA. I never tire of my meals at Theodore's.

The restaurant is on our Fine Dining card is it anything but that. Food is bland, overpriced, and our food took forever to come out and there was one other table. We had to get our waitress and she even had a big hole in her shirt on the front. My they forgot my salad and I only got salmon and a salad. They apologized but I got my salad after everyone was done eating their salad and then I got my salad and then my dinner came. The children's menu for the butter spaghetti was 3 bites of noodles for my nephew. My crusted horseradish salmon was not crusted it was a cream sauce. I told my waitress and she told me that everyone says that and that the owner does not take criticism well. I was embarrassed that we recommended that we go there. Years ago we went there and it was good. Our waitress was nice and apologized.. Save yourself save your money.

We've been to Theodore's quite a few times and every time we stop, we're glad we did. The food, service and atmosphere are always very good and the prices are certainly in line with the quality of each and every time we leave, we're satisfied. They specialize in many menu items, but I prefer the lake perch. They also have Stella on tap and when you put those together, it doesn't get any better. We always prefer eating at locally owned establishments and typically avoid the chain restaurants. Theodore's is one of those places that make that decision an easy one. We'll likely be heading back there soon, so maybe we'll see you there.

We found this while traveling from Ohio,to new York. What a pleasant surprise! I had citrus, almond crusted haddock with rice pilaf and it was lovely. My husband had a filet sandwich on a croissant. The service was fast and pleasant. Definitely worth a detour off the highway. It's not fancy and not expensive!

My wife and I are regulars on Satursdays as we are locals. Food is ALWAYS tasty and affordable. They serve some of the best fish around.
